Accelerated Chartered Banker Routes

The award of Chartered Banker requires the completion of 11 subject credits, however, we offer a number of accelerated routes.

These are:-

• The conferment of Chartered Banker status on completion of an MSc in Business and Management from Queen Mary College, University of London.
• The conferment of Chartered Banker status on completion of an MSc in Professional Banking from Napier University, Edinburgh.
• The grant of three non-specific subject exemptions to all graduates from recognised universities.  Graduates can also apply for one further subject exemption, based on their degree.
• An agreed number of additional credits being granted towards Chartered Banker under bespoke arrangements with a number of employers, where we have accredited training and development programmes.
• The entitlement to up to three subject credits towards Chartered Banker on completion of Omega Credit Skills 
• Fast Track MBA Conversion (PDF)
• Fast Track Accountancy Conversion (PDF)
• Fast Track CFA Conversion (PDF)
  
• The upgrading of ACIB/ACIBS by completing our Professionalism and Ethics module and one other subject credit. 
• The Senior Management Executive Route to Chartered Banker (SMART Chartered Banker)

• Our Senior Executive residential programme, in conjunction with the ICMA Centre at Henley Business Centre, plus recognition of Prior Certificated Learning and Prior Experiential Learning.
• Certified Members of the Institute of Bankers in Ireland IBI being able to use the designation Chartered Banker. 
• Associates of the Hong Kong Institute of Bankers can become Chartered Bankers by passing examinations in UK Financial Services and Professionalism and Ethics.
• Holders of the former Chartered Building Society Institute Associateship can become Chartered Bankers by passing Professionalism and Ethics.
