Recent events in banking globally have affected many members of the Institute. They have also reinforced the importance of banking qualifications and the need for high ethical and professional standards in banking.   

The Institute is, therefore, keen that qualified bankers retain their membership. If you have been made redundant, or have lost your main source of income due to recent events, the Institute will give you a one-year extension of membership free of charge.
