Learning Support
The Institute offers a range of support services to candidates and their employers, including study materials tailored to the retail banking sector, tutor support and revision courses.
For those seeking additional support to help candidates prepare for the DipIP examination, the Institute’s Professional Learning Partner (PLP) scheme is designed to help identify those training providers offering a high quality of student support and customer service. Current PLP partners include: To join the PLP scheme, training providers must show a commitment to supporting the retail banking sector in making the transition to the new standards, and demonstrate they meet the following criteria:
Student Experience
• PLPs have adequate resources to properly support students through their studies; • PLPs can demonstrate that all students are appropriately encouraged and supported throughout their studies; • PLPs can demonstrate that all students receive high-quality, up-to-date study materials to support their learning; • PLPs have appropriate systems in place for monitoring student progress, and intervening pro-actively when progress is threatened; • PLPs have appropriate systems and procedures in place to support students with special educational needs; • PLPs seek feedback from students on their experience, and have systems in place to respond to and act upon such feedback.
Quality Assurance
• PLPs can demonstrate a robust, internal quality assurance system and a culture of continuous improvement, particularly in the areas of course and materials design; • PLPs can demonstrate that staff and tutors are appropriately qualified, experienced, and committed to continuing personal and professional development; • PLPs can demonstrate that staff and tutors have access to high quality, up-to-date training and other materials to support tuition delivery; • PLPs have appropriate systems and procedures for collecting, evaluating and acting on feedback from students, employers and others.
