He is a Chartered Banker and joined Airdrie Savings Bank in 2000.  Prior to this he spent 27 years at The Royal Bank of Scotland Group, which he joined as a graduate trainee in 1973.  During his time at RBSG, he worked in various branches and departments including appointments as Company Secretary of The Royal Bank of Scotland and Local Director, Glasgow.

 He has been on the Institute’s Council since 1992.

John Needham, Senior Vice-President of the Institute

John Needham FCIBS is Director of Risk for Business Services at the Royal Bank of Scotland Group.

 He is a Chartered Banker and has been on the Council of the Institute since 2003. He has been with RBSG for over 30 years and was appointed to his current role in 2009.

Kevin Page, Vice-President of the Institute

Kevin FCIBS is the Transformation Director for Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks.

In addition to being a Chartered Banker, Kevin has degrees in Engineering, an MBA and PhD. He is also a Director of the UK's Payments Council.

Phil Walker, Vice-President of the Institute

Phil Walker ACIB FCIBS is Head of Distribution for the Verde Programme within Lloyds Banking Group.

 He is a Chartered Banker and joined the bank in 1974.

Phil qualified as an Associate of the Institute of Bankers and has been a Fellow of this Institute in 1998

He has been on the Institute’s Council since 1998 and was elected Vice-President in 2009.

Ian Wilson, Vice-President of the Institute

A qualified Chartered Banker, Ian also holds an MBA from the University of Edinburgh and an MSc in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and Napier University. Ian is also Fellow of the Institute of Financial Services.
