Subject and Senior Tutors

Tutors play a vital role in motivating and encouraging students to perform well. Indeed, the encouragement and support of a tutor may ultimately be the determining factor in whether or not a student progresses through the course!

CIOBS therefore needs suitably qualified persons to assist in supporting Chartered Banker students as they strive to achieve their professional qualification and Chartered Banker status.

The role of tutor essentially involves:

  • marking of assignments
  • ongoing email / telephone student support.

In addition to the above, Senior Tutors require to:

  • conduct a quality check of assignments completed by tutors within their span of control
  • liaise with tutors and CIOBS Academy staff as required, to ensure that students are afforded the highest level of tutorial support

To become a tutor you must:

  • be professionally qualified to a minimum of ACIBS level, or have another recognised educational qualification
  • have email access
  • be willing to deliver first-class tutorial support to our students.

If you meet this criteria and are interested in becoming a Tutor send your CV to Raymond Brown, Senior Learning & Development Manager.

Alternatively, if you would like to have an informal chat about any available opportunities why not call Raymond Brown on 0131 473 7775 or Michael Downey on 0131 473 7782.

The Chartered Banker programme provides broad, flexible skill sets and a wide range of ways to achieve the qualification.
