Academy Team
The team is led by Raymond Brown.
Raymond has been fully qualified since 1977 and is a Chartered Banker and Fellow. He joined the Institute in 1999.
Prior to that time he worked with the Prudential Assurance Company as a financial consultant , although the main part of his career was with Lloyds TSB plc. During his 23 years there, he worked in the retail network business, including positions in branch, area and customer services management.
Raymond is ably assisted by Michael Downey.
Michael is also a Fellow and a Chartered Banker, having joined the Institute in 2001.
Before making the move to the Institute, Michael worked with The Royal Bank of Scotland for 23 years. Michael's RBS career was in general branch banking, although he specialised in international banking for a number of years.
Raymond and Michael adopt the same attitude to their role, combining approachability with a resolute commitment to provide a first class customer service.
The Chartered Banker programme provides broad, flexible skill sets and a wide range of ways to achieve the qualification.
