Examinations
When can I book my exams? A minimum of two weeks and a maximum of five weeks in advance.
For Chartered Banker subjects, if you wish for your assignment marks to be counted towards your final exam mark, you need to sit your exam a minimum of one calendar month after submitting your assignment[s].
When will I receive my exam mark? For Chartered Banker subjects, within six weeks of sitting your examination. Marks for Certificate/Diploma/RQF subjects are available on completion of the examination.
Do I get an automatic re-sit date if I fail the exam? No, you must call Customer Service on 0131 473 7777 to register for a re-sit.
How long do I have to wait to re-sit? For all exams you must wait a minimum of five working days after failing your exam to register for a re-sit.
How much is the re-sit fee? The re-sit fee for Certificate/Diploma subjects is £65. For RQF subjects it’s £70.
Chartered Banker students receive one free re-sit for each subject. Subsequent re-sit cost £100.
How am I assessed for each course? As an RQF student you will be assessed by an online examination consisting of multiple choice questions and multiple choice case studies.
Certificate/Diploma student you will be assessed by an online examination consisting of multiple choice questions.
As an Advanced Diploma/Chartered Banker student you will be assessed by a typed online essay style exam.

It does exactly what it says - measures your typing speed and tells you how many errors you have made. Anything over 20 words should suffice for the essay style exam.
