Subject Tutors

(Chartered Banker-based subjects only)

Students are allocated a Tutor when they enrol for each subject. The role of the Subject Tutors can be summarised as follows:

  • To make contact with their students during the study period, usually by email
  • To mark student assignments, ensuring that:
    •  Each individual answer is individually marked
    •  Where marks are lost within an answer, an indication should be given as to how the answer could have been improved
    •  Comments made are easy to read and understand, constructive, encouraging and motivational.
  • To provide any other reasonable assistance and support to students

The tutors employed by the Institute are all subject experts and most have practical experience in their particular field of expertise. Students are encouraged to make the most of this valuable support mechanism by making contact with their tutors if they have any problems with the course contents.

Students are encouraged to contact their Subect Tutor by email throughout the period of their studies, but may also contact their Tutor by telephone if this is more practical.

The Chartered Banker programme provides broad, flexible skill sets and a wide range of ways to achieve the qualification.
