Payment methods

Annual Subscriptions can be paid by direct debit, cheque, credit or debit card.  You can also pay online (using credit or debit card) via the Members' area of the website.

Members have been able to pay by annual direct debit for a number of years but, with effect from 1 July 2012, we are also introducing the option to pay membership subscriptions by monthly direct debit.

New members are required to pay their first subscription in full but have the opportunity to pay by direct debit from their first renewal.

If you already pay your subscription by direct debit and wish to change from annual to monthly payments, here's what to do:

  1. Go to the member and student section here.
  2. Sign in. (If you have not used the member and student area before you will be prompted to register and will need your membership number).
  3. Go to Your details/Subscriptions in the drop down menu.
  4. Change your direct debit from annual to monthly.
If you wish to switch to monthly direct debits for the 2012/2013 subscription year, please ensure you have switched by 31 May 2012.  Changes made after this date will not take effect until the 2013/2014 subscription year.

Members who currently pay their subscription by cheque or credit card but wish to change to monthly or annual direct debit will need to complete a Direct Debit mandate and return it to the Institute.
