The next Chartered Banker dinner will take place on Thursday 3 May 2012 at the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow. Please click here to download an information sheet.

The Chartered Banker Dinner is one of the most prestigious events in the Institute’s calendar.  It  is intended to showcase professionalism rather than be celebratory in nature and is attended by the Chairmen, Chief Executives and senior management of the banks and other financial services organizations, their guests (representatives of the business community in Scotland) plus many of the Institute’s members – the “ordinary” retail and business bankers providing a vital service to their customers at a very difficult time.

The keynote speech at the event is to be delivered by Martin Wheatley, Managing Director of the FSA's Conduct Business Unit and CEO designate of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), one of the two successor regulatory bodies that will be formed from the future division of the FSA.

The ticket price is £115 plus VAT, inclusive of pre-dinner drinks and wine with the meal.  A limited allocation of tickets will be reserved for individual Institute members at a discounted rate of £70 plus VAT.  These discounted tickets will be restricted to one per member.

We have secured preferential rates with the Grand Central Hotel, Glasgow for guests attending the Chartered Banker Dinner 2012.  Accommodation is available for the night of Thursday 3rd May 2012. The Bed and Breakfast rate at The Grand Central Hotel is £145.00 including VAT per single occupancy room per night for a Standard room and £180.00 including VAT per single occupancy room per night for an Executive room.  Bookings can be made here via Conference Care.
