The Chartered Banker programme focuses on the core skills required by professional bankers. There are seven Chartered Banker modules. These are:

How can I become a Chartered Banker?
To gain access to Chartered Banker modules, you will have one of:• an Advanced Diploma with the Chartered Banker Institute• a university degree• relevant training, continuing professional development or other prior learning accredited by the Chartered Banker Institute or a recognised partner; or• 5 years’ relevant banking experience and/or the support of your employer.
We understand that there are many different career paths in the sector and so we have developed a variety of routes into the Chartered Banker programme. So, whether you are new to banking or have many years' experience, there is a route to suit you. Assessment
Each Chartered Banker module is assessed by an online examination and one compulsory assignment. The exam result contributes up to 70% of the overall award and the assignment contributes up to 30%.

SMART Chartered Banker
The Senior Management Accelerated Route to Chartered Banker (SMART Chartered Banker) is delivered by REED Learning. It allows senior banking professionals to undergo work-based assessment of competence against the professional standards set by the Chartered Banker Institute.
