Regulated Mortgage Advice
The Financial Services Authority requires those giving mortgage advice or selling mortgage products to hold an approved qualification.
The Institute offers a two stage qualification designed to ensure mortgage advisers and practitioners can demonstrate their competence in a regulated role whilst also meeting these regulatory requirements.

Those completing our MAPC or an equivalent appropriate qualification are eligible to apply for Professional Mortgage Adviser (PMA) status. This will support you in demonstrating to your customers and peers that you are committed to maintaining professional standards and to continue to keep your knowledge and skill current up to date in the fast changing market. The Chartered Banker programme provides broad, flexible skill sets and a wide range of ways to achieve the qualification.
