The FCA is currently consulting on proposals to create a new public Directory of Individuals. Aimed at helping the public understand more about the suitability of the firms and individuals providing them with financial services, the Directory will include information on firms and their Senior Managers, Non Executive Directors and Certified Persons. The information will be similar to that shown on the FCA Register before the Senior Managers and Certification Regime [SMCR] was introduced but includes some additions, such as any qualifications required for their role.

Have your say.

Do you think such a Directory would be of more value to the public if it showed an individual’s professional affiliation such as membership of a professional body or other accreditation by the same, i.e. achievement of a professional standard? Your view will be used to help us form our Response to the consultation.
