Young Banker of the Year

Website YBOTY

The Chartered Banker Young Banker of the Year competition aims to showcase tomorrow’s leaders in UK banking. The challenge set for our entrants is designed to test their capacity to generate new ideas, drive innovation and sustainable growth:

What idea would you implement in your own organisation to improve outcomes for some or all of the following groups: customers, colleagues, counterparties, communities and the organisation you work for?

We look for young bankers to provide evidence of original and inventive thinking in making their proposal, which can apply to any area of banking.

For the first time this year, there will be two live semi-finals. The semi-finalists will be invited to present their proposals live to audiences on either the 7th of June 2017 in Edinburgh or the 20th June 2017 in Manchester, with four Young Bankers progressing to the Final.

The Young Banker of the Year Final is the highlight of the Institute calendar and will be held at Mansion House, London, on 4th September 2017, with the kind permission of the Lord Mayor. Our finalists will have the chance to present to, and meet, many senior figures from the banking, regulatory and policy-making communities, with the winner chosen by an illustrious panel of judges.

Please note, entries to this year's competition are now closed.
