Event Details

As Donald Trump’s first year as US President passes, what impact has his presidency had on Wall Street and Main Street?  And what should we expect in the years ahead?  Dodd-Frank is still on the statute book, but under review.  As a candidate Trump promised a rollback of regulation that was, in his view, holding back lending to businesses.  A bonfire of the vanities?  How are banks and businesses in the US responding?  What will be the impact of Trump’s tax cuts?  How will Trump’s wider agenda affect banks, bankers, customers, and the general public?

We’re delighted to welcome back to the UK Alex Sanchez, President and CEO of the Florida Bankers’ Association, to share his insight into developments in US financial services, drawing on his extensive experience on Capitol Hill and K Street, and with US banking leaders in their boardrooms.  Alex’s insights into developments in US financial services will be of great interest to practitioners and students alike.

Chaired by Simon Thompson, Chief Executive of the Chartered Banker Institute, the event will be followed by a Q&A and a drinks reception.
