The Institute welcomes all donations to the 2025 Foundation. Thanks to your support, we have helped changed the lives of those who would not otherwise have had the opportunity to pursue a career in banking.

You have the option to give on a regular basis by direct debit or you can choose to make a one-off donation.

If you are a current member or have previously created a web-user account, please login at the top right-hand corner of this page before choosing your payment method.

If you attempt to set up a new account and see the error message 'this email address already exists' it means you already have an existing account using that email. The login page has a forgotten password option if you need it.

Should you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact us by email [email protected]

Gift aid

Boost your donation by 25p of Gift Aid for every £1 you donate. Gift Aid is reclaimed by the charity from the tax you pay for the current tax year. Your address is needed to identify you as a current UK taxpayer.

Declaration: I am a UK taxpayer. Please treat all donations I make to the 2025 Foundation as Gift Aid donations until further notice.

I am a UK taxpayer and understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year it is my responsibility to pay any difference.

Please let us know if you want to cancel this declaration, change your home address or no longer pay sufficient tax.

Gift Aid Key Facts
When the 2025 Foundation receives a donation from a UK taxpayer, we are entitled to claim an amount of tax (calculated at the basic rate of income tax in that year) paid on that donation. Once you have given your permission for us to do this on your behalf (by reading the declaration and ticking the Gift Aid box), there is no need for you to do anything else.

All that is required is that you must be a taxpayer and that you would have paid or will pay sufficient Income and/or Capital Gains Tax to cover all the Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year. Please note that it is your responsibility to pay any difference.

The amount of tax we claim will be 25% of the total value of your donations in that tax year. Furthermore, if you are a higher taxpayer, you are also entitled to claim the difference between the basic rate which we will claim and the amount of tax you have actually paid. For further details on how you can do this, please contact your tax office. If your tax situation changes and your gifts will no longer be eligible for the Gift Aid scheme, please contact us and we will amend your record accordingly.

The Direct Debit Guarantee

This Guarantee is offered by all banks and building societies that accept instructions to pay Direct Debits.

If there are any changes to the amount, date or frequency of your Direct Debit the Chartered Banker Institute will notify you 14 working days in advance of your account being debited or as otherwise agreed. If you request the Chartered Banker Institute to collect a payment, confirmation of the amount and date will be given to you at the time of the request.

If an error is made in the payment of your Direct Debit, by the Chartered Banker Institute or your bank or building society, you are entitled to a full and immediate refund of the amount paid from your bank or building society - if you receive a refund you are not entitled to, you must pay it back when the Chartered Banker Institute asks you to.

You can cancel a Direct Debit at any time by simply contacting your bank or building society. Written confirmation may be required. Please however also notify us so that we can amend your details accordingly.
