Within the session, Fiona Dearing will explore the human dimension of the challenges faced by businesses in an unpredictable environment. Considering how to lead new generations through a changing and complex business ecosystem.
With the human dimension in mind, how might leaders manage a new generation and refine their firm’s decision-making processes to inspire a multi-generational workforce?
Speaker - Fiona Dearing
Fiona is Chartered Management Accountant with 18 years of professional experience before she moved into education. The period since she joined Manchester Metropolitan University in 2012, has been productive and her work has seen her gain wide recognition. She won PQ’s Public Sector Lecturer of the Year award (2016) and in the past month has been recognised as the CIMA Teaching Excellence Awards as country champion.
Fiona’s specialises in developing learner’s knowledge on strategy and leadership in a competitive environment, managing human resources and knowledge management. Currently Fiona is reading for her PhD in New Generations in Accounting & Finance industry. This area of research builds on her experiences as a management accountant in industry and supports her specialist teaching areas
