Webcast Details

To coincide with Mental Health Awareness Week 2022, this webcast will examine Loneliness, the theme of this year’s campaign.

Loneliness affects billions of people annually, with 33% of adults experiencing feelings of loneliness worldwide. During the past eighteen months, our lives have been impacted by a dramatic change in circumstances as a result of the pandemic. Many changes in circumstances have impacted on our mental health and well-being. Feelings of loneliness and isolation have substantially increased, affecting a large percentage of the global population, particularly those most vulnerable, such as individuals with long-term illnesses and disabilities.

The Institute is an active advocate of Responsible Banking, driving changes that will help support all in our community. By discussing Loneliness our webcast will raise awareness of this issue and equip attendees with insight into the overall picture of Loneliness and how they can support those experiencing it.

This webcast is a collaborative online event, held by the Chartered Banker Institute and the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI). It is free and open to all to attend, on Wednesday 25th May, 13:00 UK BST.
