Releasing the Power of Team

A three-chapter experience exploring how teams thrive, adapt and achieve more — together.

Most professional development focuses on the individual. But success rarely happens in isolation. Every one of us works in teams, often multiple teams with different dynamics, priorities, and pressures.  We invest a great deal in teaching people how to lead, yet rarely do we teach them how to be great team members. How do we adapt, contribute, and lead effectively across these varied contexts?

Our new series, Releasing the Power of Team, explores practical ways to become a better team member, leader, and decision-maker, so that together, we achieve more.

Through blogs, podcasts and live interactive sessions, you’ll gain practical ways to strengthen collaboration, decision-making and performance in the teams you’re part of.

What you’ll gain

By joining the series you will:

  • Understand how team coaching unlocks hidden team effectiveness

  • Recognise the dynamics that make teams thrive — or stall

  • Learn how to flex your role across different teams

  • Improve influence, decision-making and shared ownership

  • Take away practical techniques you can apply immediately

How the series works

Every chapter follows the same three-part journey:

1. Blog → introduce the topic

Each chapter begins with a short, thought-provoking blog.

This introduces the topic, challenges assumptions and gives you practical insight to begin reflecting on your own team experience.

Think of it as the starting point.

2. 'Shelling the Pod' - The Podcast Coversation

Next, we release a fireside chat interview — Shelling the Pod.

In this recorded conversation, Andy Duncan explores the chapter topic in greater depth with a guest speaker, bringing experience, perspective and practical examples to life.

This is where we unpack the ideas and connect them to real organisational contexts.

3. Mini Surgery (live webinar) → apply it

Finally, we host a live “mini-surgery”.

This is your opportunity to:

  • Submit questions in advance

  • Share reflections

  • Raise challenges your team is facing

Andy will respond to member questions and explore how the thinking from the blog and podcast can be applied directly to your situation. Each surgery is short, focused and practical — designed to help you move from insight to action.

You can attend live or just submit a question in advance.

The Three Chapter Themes

Over the course of the series, we will explore three powerful dimensions of team effectiveness:

What team coaching is and how to use it to unlock potential in your team.

Chapter 2

The Individual’s Role in the Team — Becoming the Team Member Everyone Wants to Work With

Exploring personal contribution, distributed leadership and the behaviours that strengthen collective success.

Chapter 3

Navigating Informal Teams and Networks — Flexing Your Style to Make Influence Count

Understanding how networking, influence and cross-organisational connections enhance team performance.

Final Panel Session — Bringing it all together

A live discussion panel synthesising the key lessons from the entire series.

Practical, reflective and interactive — this session helps you turn ideas into habits.
