We know it isn't just bankers who work in banking. Other professional skills are required. We work with a growing range of non-banking professional bodies to align our work on professional development, making it easier for individuals and their employers to see how everything can fit together.
This may take the form of helping their members understand the core disciplines of banking and to gain recognition for this within our framework, using their existing professional qualifications as a platform for study with us.
We are pleased to be working with the International Compliance Association (ICA), a leading global provider of qualifications and training in anti-money laundering (AML), compliance and fraud/financial crime prevention. We formally recognise the ICA’s Diploma qualifications as a pathway for entry to study of Chartered Banker. For those holding both ICA Diploma and the Institute’s Chartered Banker designation, a streamlined, single membership route is available. To view the qualifications available from the ICA please visit: http://www.int-comp.org/
In March 2017, we joined forces with the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) and the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) to enhance and sustain the level of professionalism and trust in the financial services sector, resulting in the launch of the Chartered Body Alliance at the CISI’s headquarters in London.
We will be working together to achieve greater public benefit by raising professionalism and trust across financial services and promoting high standards across the sector. With a joint website and social media channels we hope to represent the ‘gold standard’ across the sector, hosting joint events, and seeking to respond with a united voice to sector consultations that affect members across all three professional bodies.
