Chartered Banker Institute | Managing Director

 

Giles leads the Institute’s thought-leadership on ethical banking, particularly around the area of digital ethics.  He has around 20 years' experience in the arena of professional education and professional standards. He has led a very wide range of education and professionalism projects to significantly diversify the work of the Chartered Banker Institute, developing major strategic programmes to diverse areas of the banking industry around the globe. In particular, he has specialised in developing a wide range of bespoke professionalisation programmes for banks, coupled with highly innovative accreditation services. These projects have reached many tens of thousands of banking professionals.

Giles holds a degree in law, a Masters in education, and has recently finished studying a Masters in applied professional ethics.

Professor Paul Smith is a former senior partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, where he specialised in technology enabled process transformation for a wide range of industries and clients, having significant KAM responsibilities. His research interests are primarily in B2B buying and innovation, but his expertise spans marketing research and analytics, innovation and marketing, complex statistical modelling and business applications of AI and machine learning.

Paul is a Board advisor to multiple large and small organisations, including the Gambling Commission, a leading global professional services firm and multiple UK SMEs.

ICAEW | Data Analytics and Tech Manager

 

Bani manages and supports the Data Analytics and Excel Communities at ICAEW. She is also involved in delivering content for ICAEW members focused on advancing analytics and technology within the finance profession and addressing key tech-related topics. Bani is ACA-qualified and started her career at Deloitte in Audit and Assurance. During her time at Deloitte, she also worked in internal technology-enabled transformation for almost 3 years and has experience in managing and deploying specialised tools and technologies for auditors.
