The London Stock Exchange Academy is delighted to offer a free online workshop on the topic of ‘Operational Risk Management during COVID-19: Lessons learned’ to our members.
The pandemic has acted as a real-life stress test of existing Operational risk frameworks and processes implemented by financial services firms. This topical and thought provoking workshop will explore the following themes:
- Deep dive into risk and control environment: what has changed?
- Focusing on the positives: what opportunities emerged?
- What are the three things that most successful Operational risk teams did right?
- What’s next: focussing on risk and control environment of Working From Home (WFH)

Speaker - Elena Pykhova
Elena is a thought leader, influencer and founder of a think tank, Best Practice Operational Risk Forum. She is the Chair of the Operational Risk Expert Panel for the Association of Foreign Banks and the former Director for Education at the Institute of Operational Risk. She is an experienced operational risk trainer, running public and in-house training courses in the UK and internationally, and is the lead trainer for the London Stock Exchange Academy on the subject of Operational risk. Elena runs her own consultancy specialising in strategy, design and implementation of firm-wide risk and resilience frameworks, having established it after 20 years of experience in senior roles at Fortune 500 companies.
