In this fireside chat join Milly Batchelor and Rory McIntyre as they sit down to discuss their experiences with the Chartered Banker Institute and Scottish Financial Enterprise’s Young Professionals network (SFE YP) and how involvement in both has advanced their career.
Milly has been Chairperson of SFE YP since 2020 and Rory has been NatWest Group’s Firm Representative for SFE YP since 2021. Both are Chartered Banker Institute members and are also former Semi-Finalists in the Young Banker of the Year competition, Milly in 2019 and Rory in 2021. Rory is also Vice-Chairperson of the Edinburgh, Lothians and Fife District Centre of the Chartered Banker Institute.
Speakers
Rory McIntyre has been an employee of NatWest Group since 2016 and currently works as a Performance and Business Management Manager within the bank’s Services Workforce Enablement team. Most of Rory’s time with NatWest Group has been in a variety of business management roles relating to workforce management activities such as headcount forecasting and hiring governance. Following studies in Mathematics and Economics at the University of Strathclyde, he regularly seeks opportunities to apply his analytical skillset to streamline manual data manipulation processes and has become an Excel SME within his wider business unit.
Away from his day job, Rory is a keen musician, an ardent sports fan, and an active member of the Chartered Banker Institute’s Edinburgh Lothians and Fife District Centre, serving as Chairperson since early 2022.
Milly Batchelor works in Youth Banking at NatWest Group, chairs Scottish Financial Enterprise’s Young Professionals (SFE YP) Network and won Rising Star at the 2021 Women in Tech Excellence Awards. Milly is passionate about unlocking the potential of future leaders and technology to amplify the positive role of financial services in society. Prior to NatWest, Milly worked at Tesco Bank.
