Leadership is no longer the exclusive domain of senior management. We are all called to be leaders. In this session we will consider the difference between leadership and management, how effective leadership can make a difference in the work environment and introduce a powerful framework for leading others.

Session Facilitators: Thomas Chalmers and Russell Borland, Partners of Leading Figures

Leading Figures is a coaching consultancy serving clients throughout the UK, drawn predominantly from the fund management, accountancy, legal and consulting sectors. For many of their corporate clients they provide team coaching, often interleaved with 1:1 coaching. Coaching objectives tend to be related to leadership development and enhancing team dynamics.

Before becoming coaches, both Thomas and Russell led businesses in the past. Following a 10-year banking career, Thomas became owner/partner in his family’s long-established seafood business. Meanwhile Russell became managing partner of a corporate actuarial/investment consulting partnership. Both grew their respective businesses by focussing strategically on the ‘people’ aspect, recruiting and developing talent to drive the business forward.  The purpose of Leading Figures is to support other businesses and organisations in doing the same - to grow and succeed through the development of their people.

Leading Figures currently work with several clients that are either individual, organisational or institutional members of the Professional Bodies Forum.

The Accidental Manager Series will include three sessions in total, with Leadership being the first. This will be followed by Delegation on 4th September and Critical Conversations on 4th October.

Places are extremely limited, so book quickly to guarantee your space.
