Raising up Women in the Workplace

The banking and finance sector has long been characterised by gender disparities, with women historically underrepresented in leadership roles and facing various barriers to career advancement across the corporate pipeline. However, in recent years, there has been a growing recognition of the importance of gender diversity and inclusion within organisations, driven by an understanding of the tangible benefits it brings to businesses, economies, and societies as a whole.

In celebration of International Women's Day, we invited our panel to reflect on the progress that has been made in advancing women in the workplace and to explore the initiatives and strategies that have contributed to this positive momentum. As part of International Women's Day Inspire Inclusion campaign, this event aims to shed light on the progress made in advancing gender diversity within the banking sector while highlighting effective initiatives and strategies for empowering women in their professional journeys. This webcast explores the current landscape of gender equality in the workplace and uncovers practical insights for fostering inclusive cultures.

This is a joint webcast with The Chartered Banker Institute, Manchester Metropolitan University and ICAEW North West, in recognition of the International Women’s Day and this year's theme: Inspire Inclusion.
