The Road to the SDGs: Progress and Achievements with IsDB

The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), in partnership with the Islamic Finance Council, UK (UKIFC) and the Global Ethical Finance Initiative (GEFI), will host the virtual global launch of the recent IsDB publication “The Road to the SDGs: Progress and Achievements”.

During the session, outgoing IsDB President HE Dr Bandar Al Hajjar will present some of the key findings of the book, highlighting the work that the IsDB has done towards achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He will then hand over to a selection of global SDG pioneers, who will discuss their work in developing, promoting, and measuring the SDGs, looking at actions and progress towards the Goals from around the world, particularly in the finance sector.

Confirmed speakers include HE Dr Bandar Hajjar (IsDB) HE Amina J. Mohammed (UN), Dame Susan Rice (GEFI), Prof. Jeffrey Sachs (UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network), Prof. Ismail Serageldin (Bibliotheca Alexandrina) and Stella Cox, CBE (DDCAP Group). The session will be moderated by George Littlejohn (Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment).
